Veritas University Denies Sexual Harassment Allegation, Says Dismissed Nun Provided No Evidence

She was invited and asked to provide the evidence she said she had, but she never provided any.

Abuja,  Nigeria– The Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications at Veritas University, Ben Agande, has stated that the dismissed Reverend Sister, Anastasia Kinse, failed to present any evidence to support her claim of sexual harassment against a priest at the institution.

Agande made the clarification on Tuesday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television.

He said Rev. Sr. Kinse appeared before a panel set up by the university after she submitted a letter to the Vice-Chancellor on July 2, but she did not provide any proof to back her allegations.

“When she submitted her letter to the Vice-Chancellor signed by her on July 2, a committee was set up by the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences headed by a doctor, made up of four people—a woman and three other persons,” Agande said.

“She was invited and asked to provide the evidence she said she had, but she never provided any,” he added.

The university spokesperson described Kinse’s recent claims as attempts at “content creation,” saying her narration was not based on verifiable facts.

“Former Rev. Sr. Kinse’s narration in these few days is born out of content creation because she already admitted that she’s now a content creator and content creation is not guided by facts. So, her narrative tries to justify those wild allegations that she made,” Agande said.
