Terrorists Attack Security Operatives Kill 12 In Kaduna
The attackers carted away the rifles of the slain operatives
Gunmen on Monday attacked the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and killed seven of them alongside five other persons from other security agencies.
It was gathered that the terrorists invaded two communities in the troubled Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The NSCDC Director of Public Relations, Mr. Olusola Odumosu confirmed the incident to the Newsmen on Tuesday.
Mr Odumosu said one NSCDC personnel escaped the attack with injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
According to him, “The attack which occurred on Monday at about 10 a.m., was unfortunate and a big loss to the Corps and the family of the deceased.
He said that the attackers carted away the rifles of the slain operatives, adding that the remains of the officers and men had been deposited at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna.
Meanwhile, the Corps lost three other personnel from the National Headquarters in a car accident on Monday evening.
The accident victims were female personnel and two male operatives.
