So-Safe Arrests 3 For Burgling Gas Company In Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested three members of a robbery syndicate that specialize in burgling companies and warehouses.

The suspects were nabbed after they successfully burgled Power Gas Company in Igere, Opic Estate, Agbara in the Ado-Odo/Otta Local Government Area of the state.

The So-Safe Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, who disclosed this through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, Ganzallo stated that the suspects were arrested on Sunday, June 4, 2023, by SC Fasinu Sunday-led team of operatives attached to Igere outpost.


According to him, the officers, while on routine patrol of the area, caught the suspects red-handedly at about 11:45pm.

He gave the suspects’ identities as Amachi John, 40, resident of 5, Imode Street, Isibiri in Ijaniki, Lagos State; Moses Lazarus, 41, of 3, Jacob Street, Check Point, Badagry Expressway, Lagos and Chidi Peter, 27, of Igere Ihunsa Community, Area 8, Opic Estate, Agbara.

Items recovered from the suspects include, a cabin lorry, marked SMK334XD, with an inscription ‘Chijioke’ at the front; assorted iron fibres, one aluminum door and a number of iron pipes.


Mr Ganzallo said that efforts were underway to arrest other fleeing members of the gang.

He said the three suspects and the exhibits had been handed over to the Agbara Area Command of the Nigeria Police for further investigation and likely prosecution.
