River Police Raid Camp Of Notorious Cult Kingpin ‘General Worldwide’

The police operatives have not been able to apprehend any of the “Generals” during the raid carried out in fulfilment of the pledge by Rivers Commissioner of Police

Operatives of the River State Police Command have raided a den of notorious cultists at Udebu community in Ahoada-East Local Government Area of the State led by one “General Worldwide”.

It was learnt that the notorious cult kingpin took advantage of his knowledge of the difficult terrain of the campsite to escape.

Meanwhile, the Police operatives have vowed to hunt him down and his fleeing members anytime soon.

According to a credible source close to the Police, ‘General Worldwide’ and other members of his gang on sighting the heavily armed policemen took to their heels.

However, items such as juju chamber, motorcycle, generator, guns, ammunition, military uniforms, and cult insignias were recovered from the camp which was later destroyed by the police operatives.

In a related development, a gunman who went to rob a Point of Sale, POS, an operator at New Road, Ahoada on Saturday 8, July, 2023, has been arrested with a pistol recovered from him.

Rivers Police Command Public Relations Officer PPRO, SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the two incidents to the newsmen in the State.

The image maker said that the police will brief journalists on the operations later.

It would be recalled last two weeks, how Police operatives raided the camps of cult kingpins identified as “General’ Worldwide”, “General 2baba”, “General Danger”, and “General Odereike”.

However, the police operatives have not been able to apprehend any of the “Generals” during the raid carried out in fulfilment of the pledge by Rivers Commissioner of Police Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka to bring cult groups and criminal gangs operating in the state to book.
