All Progressives Congress APC Candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Mallam Salihu Mustapha (MSM), has enjoined other political actors and their teeming followers in Kwara State to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship.

The senatorial candidate who is the Turaki of Ilorin has spent the better part of the remaining days leading to the Nigerian 2023 general election official campaign flag-off date of September 28, 2022, insisting publicly that ‘tolerance’ and ‘peace’ should be embraced in his Senatorial District and across Kwara State.

Recently, he has demanded that his supporters find a way to defend those ideas and not waver.

According to him, “When you are a candidate, certainly for the highest elected office in the land, you have many responsibilities. You should support the principles of a healthy democracy. And that includes trying to keep the justified indignation of your followers from turning into something less productive and actually destructive.”

Addressing members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Ilorin, during a recent event where he clinched an award in his honour, the Turaki of Ilorin vowed, says there will be a radical improvement in the lives of Kwara Central residents, and by extension at the Senate Chamber, he will sponsor social welfare bills targeted at raising living standard in the State of Harmony.

Saliu traceable philanthropic gestures ranging from financial support to traders in boosting businesses, assistance on community development projects, scholarship sponsorship, to mention but few are subtle attestations that Kwara Central stands to experience monumental progress upon electing the Turaki n’geri of Ilorin.
