Police Foil Kidnap Attempt, Arrests 4 Suspects In Adamawa
One of the suspects Usman Yahya is a Hunter and he supplied the two Single Barrels guns
The Adamawa State Police Command says it has foiled a plan by some suspected kidnappers to abduct a forty-year-old man, Jao Wakili, of Lainde Chitta, Toungo local government Area in the state.
In a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya, says the command received a tipoff of the plans to abduct Wakili from a good Samaritan.
“The command upon receiving the information designed a security ring around the target, engaged and luckily arrested the suspected kidnappers identified as Iliya Isa 24years, Bello Umar 25years, Nuhu Umar 20years and Usman Yahya 33years, all residents of Lainde Chitta village, Toungo Local government area.
“The Commission says investigation so far reveals that one of the suspects Usman Yahya is a Hunter and he supplied the two Single Barrels guns to be used in facilitating the crime.
The Commissioner of police CP Afolabi Babatola, while commending the giant stride of DPO Toungo and Hunters for gallantry performance and professional conduct displayed leading to their arrest, also directed them to sustain the tempo as a strategy for Crime prevention.
The CP calls on the populace to always inform the police of the whereabouts of Criminals and their hideouts especially those of questionable character.
He, however, assured the Government and good people of Adamawa state, of the sustained effort of the police in protecting lives and property of the citizens.
