Police Arrests Deadly Kidnapper Linked To Murder Of Nebeeha In Bwari

Abuja, Nigeria– The Nigeria Police Force operatives have arrested one notorious kidnapper, Bello Mohammed, 28, of Zamfara state, in Kaduna, for the kidnap and gruesome murder of a Bwari lady, Nebeeha.

Acting on intelligence, the Divisional Police Officer of Tafa Division successfully raided a hotel in Tafa Area, Kaduna, where Bello was arrested alongside ₦2.25 million suspected to be ransom proceeds.

This is disclosed in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday, January 28, 2024.

He said that the suspect, during interrogation, admitted involvement in the kidnapping of Barrister Ariyo’s family in Bwari, FCT, on 2nd January 2024.

He confessed to the gruesome murder of Nabeeha, daughter of the legal practitioner, on 13th January 2024, at a kidnappers’ camp in Kaduna.

In a commendable act of integrity, the DPO Tafa, SP Idris Ibrahim, rejected a ₦1 million inducement offered by the suspect during the arrest.

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has ordered that Bello Mohammed be handed over to the DFI-IRT in Abuja for discreet investigations.
