Opposition Works In Shadows, Contrived To Bring Darkness Upon Kwara- Hon. Florence

They are weary because men of good conscience and with no guilt, have heralded the cry of the people which is “MA A SE LO”.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections and support for the re-election campaign of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council Spokesperson, Hon. Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence disclosed that the opposition will remain the opposition come next year.

Mrs Florence stated this on Thursday, at a media parley for the second-term re-election of  AbdulRazaq held at the party secretariat in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Speaking exclusively with the journalists in the state, the campaign spokesperson said the collaborative efforts of the media in ensuring consistency and balanced reportage of the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will never be overlooked.

According to her, “We are here to also celebrate our achievements and to tell you that we are even better prepared to deliver when given a second mandate riding on the back of our successes and achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“Unlike the opposition Party, who will remain the opposition by next year, your feedback so far has been balanced and objective, free of guile and bile and for the collectively beneficial and progressive purpose of democracy.

She said that the opposition told lies and postured in such a manner as to hoodwink the public into believing that the entire Kwara is tired of our amiably quiet and effective governor.

“To that end, they have concocted, among other paraphernalia in their cauldron of manipulation and untruths, the odious slogan called “osuwon”. What they are tired of? however, is having their sticky, stubby fingers out of the state’s coffers and collective patrimony.

Mrs Florence said as good governance is entrenched in the noble state of Kwara – a feat that they could not manage in all their years in government.

“They are weary because men of good conscience and with no guilt, have heralded the cry of the people which is “MA A SE LO”.

“We cannot forget the speed and haste with which they contemplated retrenchment instead of better welfare packages for the state’s workers.

“The people now get their salaries on time and they can see their revenue being committed to the task of developing the state through tangible investment in infrastructural projects that will build a sustainable and working system for all Kwara,” she added.

According to her, PDP is tired, but we cannot sympathise with them and everything unholy, tyrannical and retrogressive they represent.

She alleged that they have adopted a policy of disturbing the peace and bawling when they do not get their way in governance.

Earlier, the director-general of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s Campaign Council, AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari, said Kwara is now working for all, and kwarans are not ready to go back into darkness era again.

He, however, urged the people to vote AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the APC in the presidential and National Assembly elections as well as the State House of Assembly elections on February 25 and March 11, 2023, respectively.
