Ondo Student Murders: Landlord Masterminded Kidnap, Rape, Murder Of Two AAUA Students

Before their deaths, N800,000 was reportedly withdrawn from Abah’s bank account while the victims were being held captive.

Akure, Ondo State– Two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), have been brutally murdered allegedly orchestrated by their landlord, in Ondo State.

The victims, 25-year-old Abah John Friday and 19-year-old Okah Andrel Eloho, were declared missing on June 20.

However, three weeks later, Okah’s decomposing body was discovered in a bush near Ode-Ekiti.

Abah’s remains are still missing and are believed to have been dumped in a river.

Meanwhile, investigations revealed that their landlord, identified as Oladele Femi, allegedly masterminded the kidnapping in collusion with two others: Ojo Michael, who has been arrested, and a third suspect still at large.

The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, confirmed the arrest of Michael, who confessed to the crime.

He disclosed that the case broke open after police tracked one of the victim’s phones, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, to Computer Village in Ikeja.

The buyer of the device led detectives to Michael, who also helped them recover a stolen Lexus RX 350 taken from the students.

Michael told police that Okah was raped before being killed because she recognised one of her attackers and could expose the gang. “The operation was masterminded by the landlord,” CP Lawal stated.

The police commissioner described the incident as a “tragic reminder of the dangers of greed and betrayal,” adding that efforts are underway to recover Abah’s body and ensure all perpetrators are brought to justice.
