NSCDC Arrests Four Vandals, Impounds Six Tankers In Delta

The Commandant General Special Intelligence Squad, CGSIS, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence corpse, NSCDC, have arrested four Suspected Vandals and busted the loading points in Odorubu waterside in Patani council of Delta State.

In a statement by the spokesman of the state command, Mr Emeka Peters Okwechime said the officials also impounded six tankers and articulated trucks loaded with stolen and illegally refined petroleum products suspected to be automated gasoline oil (AGO).

Me Okwechime disclosed that his men acted on credible intelligence information received recently to effect the arrest.

According to him, the vandals used a 120 litres capacity tanker to barricade the only road leading to the illegal loading point to prevent men of the NSCDC from gaining access to the illegal loading point.

And, following this ugly development, the officers put more effort to gain access to the loading point, then engaged the services of about six truck drivers, two auto electricians and a tow truck, which towed away the heavily loaded 120 litres capacity truck used by the crude oil thieves to barricade the road leading to the illegal loading point.

He further explained that the suspects were arrested in Warri with a Toyota Camry blue with registration number BMA 786 TN and a Toyota sienna with registration number KSF 107 CD, which were loaded with illegally refined petroleum products suspected to be AGO, concealed in 25-litre polythene sacks numbering about 300.

Mr Okwechime gave the name of the suspects as Clement Mike (M) 34 years, Tobore Morgan (M) 39 years, Jeff Oluchi (M) 29 years now at large and Chinwe Ikpeamachukwu (F) 40 years.

He said the suspects who are currently undergoing investigation will soon be charged in court.
