Man Slumps, Dies During Argument In Kwara

The prime suspect, Omotosho Jimoh, is currently at large.

Ilorin, Kwara State– A young man identified as Usman Abubakar, reportedly slumped and died during a heated argument with another man, Omotosho Jimoh, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

In a statement released on Monday, March 25th, by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, it was stated that the prime suspect, Omotosho Jimoh, is currently at large.

According to her, the father of the deceased, Adebayo Ahmed, a resident of Isale Koko, Ojagboro, Ilorin, had visited the police to report a distressing incident involving his son, Usman Abubakar. Mr Ahmed told the police that his deceased son had a minor issue with the said Omotosho.

‘’Tragically, during the altercation, Usman Abubakar slumped and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Immediately, the scene of the crime was visited, and the necessary documentation was carried out. However, the family of the deceased has declined to release the body for autopsy, insisting on burial according to Islamic rites.”

The image maker added that the Kwara State Police Command has initiated a preliminary investigation into the matter, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect and ascertain the full circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.

The command assures the public that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
