Man Arrested By Vigilante For Allegedly Flogging His 3-Year-Old Daughter To Death
Uweghwerhen reportedly fled the scene after noticing that his child was lifeless
Operatives of Aladja community vigilante in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly flogging his three-year-old daughter to death.
The man, whose only identity was given as Godsgift Uweghwerhen, was apprehended by the vigilante operatives.
The toddler who has been sick for quite some time, was flogged by her father for entering a neighbour’s apartment.
Uweghwerhen reportedly fled the scene after noticing that his child was lifeless as a result of the beating she received.
He was apprehended by the vigilante team in Ubogo community, who then handed him over to operatives of the Nigeria Police in Ovwian/Aladja Division.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
