Kwara Youths in Diaspora have thrown their weight behind Comrade Akoshile Mukhtar and recommend him as a special adviser to the Kwara State Governor on Federal matters/ Director General, Abuja Liason office.

In a statement on Sunday, the group noted that Comrade Akoshile will represent the interest of Kwarans in the Diaspora and bring exposure to other cultures and information, which are both an opportunity for development and a veritable channel for getting the attention of the government to opportunities for the welfare of the people of Kwara to be advanced.

The statement described Comrade Akoshile as someone who is exploring innovative avenues to add value to humanity beyond formal confines when as a young student he was elected as president of the University of Abuja Chapter of the National Association of Kwara Students (NAKS).

“From this base, he rose to become Chairman, of FCT Axis, and Joint Campus Committee of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), among other formal and informal positions within the student body of Nigeria, where he is a major stabilizing force for the peaceful and lawful conduct of students in Abuja and all over Nigeria.

The group stressed that Comrade Akoshile is a respected son of Kwara from a distinguished and noble family lineage of Islamic scholars and nobles.

“He has been in the diaspora but never loses touch with his home base of Kwara, where he has always pushed the Kwara agenda to the benefit of countless young Kwarans who are in strategic positions to excel in diverse fields of human endeavour.

Having completed formal education, Comrade Akoshile transitioned to civil society where he has been a very active voice and nationally claimed leader, currently serving as the Vice President (North Central Zone) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and President of the FCT Youth Residents Association, which is well known to the Federal Capital Territory Administration as a force for peace, law and order, through cordial relations with the youth and student community in the FCT.

‘’ Comrade Akoshile was an active supporter of the Otoge Movement and has since been an avid supporter of His Excellency, up to the second election where he organized a celebratory dinner for Kwarans I’m Abuja on the second term victory of Governor Abdulrazaq. At said dinner, several issues were raised of which we have come off with a stronger conviction that Kwarans outside Kwara need a coordinated approach to managing their welfare and channelling their contributions to the homeland,’’ the statement read.

Yesterday, NANS/JCC Kwara also decided to bestow an award of excellence to recognize his good deeds towards our youths in the state and encourage him to be more proactive in youth development programs.
