Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described as the end of a great era the death of the Elesa of Oke Ode, Oba AbdulKadir Adelodun, who joined his ancestors on Thursday.
In a statement mourning the monarch, the Governor called him a courageous traditional ruler who had a truly glorious reign and under whom the Oke Ode community recorded tremendous socioeconomic growth and physical development.
“Our heartfelt condolences go to their royal highnesses at the Ifelodun Traditional Rulers’ Council led by the Elese of Igbajaland Oba Ahmed Awuni Babalola Arepo III, the immediate family of the deceased, and the good people of Oke Ode. It was indeed the end of a great era,” the Governor said.
“I beseech Allah to grant Oba Adelodun Al-Jannah Firdaus, and bring comfort to his family and the Oke Ode community at this trying time.”
