KWAPRENEUR 4.0: 11,696 Apply, Successful Applicants To Receive Text Message

We want to appeal to members of the public to continue to support the program

Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) has announced updates on the application for KWAPRENEUR 4.0, weeks after the application portal was closed after a period of one month.

KWAPRENEUR 4.0, In a statement signed on Thursday, by the agency, said the applications received is 11,696, which cut across all the 16 local governments in Kwara State.

According to the statement, “Applicants were received from various professions such as fashion designing, small-scale provision business, agriculture, transportation services, and much more, it added.

“Below is the breakdown of the 11,696 applications: 3467 agribusinesses (farming, foodstuffs, productions, and agro machineries); 340 construction; 1,155 food processing; 1,278 manufacturing; 74 transportation; 1159 ICT; 4,091 Trade; and 132 retail.

“96% of the applicants fall between the age range of 18yrs – 40yrs Old. At the same time, the ratio of males to females was 59.80% to 40.20%.

“At this juncture, It is important to state to the members of the public that our team of professionals is currently screening these applications to select the ones which meet up with the requirements and criteria of the programme.

“Starting this week, successful applicants will begin to receive text messages to inform them of the next stage of the process to determine the final beneficiaries of the Kwapreneur 4.0.

“We want to appeal to members of the public to continue to support the program and the administration of His Excellency, which continues to show concern for the welfare of every member of the society.

“We also implore the public always to verify any information they have from official quarters in order not to fall victim to fake news peddlers,” the statement read.
