KOZ Flags Off Intervention Programme In Support Of Gov. AbdulRazaq
The program will continue whether in and out of political office
KOZ flagged off its Intervention Programme at Igbaja, in Ifelodun local government of Kwara State. In an effort to improve mobility and create a multi-modal transportation system in Kwara State.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin Zubair, on Wednesday, give out three minibuses and two motorcycles to five beneficiaries in Kwara South.
According to him, the programme has been in existence for the past ten years, and KOZ has made sure that people live comfortable life through community intervention.
He said the initiative is to ensure that they meet the need of the people, working with them and bringing solutions to most of their problems.
“We understand that at every point in human life there will always be a need for the government, and various groups must attend to the particular need of the people.
“KOZ intervention programme has given almost 6 computer systems to schools around the locality in Ifelodun, through community intervention, Koz has also repaired more than 200 boreholes across various locations in Kwara and empowered some young men in the process of repairing the boreholes by proving tools for them.
Mr Zubair explained that through his office, he was able to distribute 100 tricycles in Kwara state, and also attracted 150 million micro-grant from the Alico Dangote foundation that was given to 16 thousand women across the state.
He said that through the community intervention, his office gave out 50 minibuses at the cost of 125 million, 100 million from SEAP while the remaining 25 million was added by the KOZ intervention.
“We come together as an expansion of our work to also reach out to our people in Kwara-south, that’s why we will be giving out 3 mini buses to people, who will also use it to expand their life and bring about better living conditions, while two motorcycles to other young persons.
He said the program will continue whether in and out of political office because they will continue to be on the side of the people.
According to him, “We did not just wake up one morning and decided to give out buses, we discovered that the member of NURTW that were earlier given 50 buses, the branch of them in Kwara-south also indicated interest that for them to continue in business, they need more vehicles.
“And we discover that the people who are commuters would have more advantage movement, so we decided to start another batch from Kwara South, particularly people from Offa, we also gave two motorcycles to two people in Igbaja because we have more rural communities around here.
He reiterates that before ending of the year, the KOZ intervention will launch another initiative program for the people.
Mr Zubair noted that the intervention has been functioning before the election and it will continue even after the election, left to the people to reward Governor AbdulRazaq with a massive vote so that they continue with the good job they started.
In his speech, the Deputy Director of Media and publicity for Tinunu/Shettima Campaign councils for 2023 Presidential election, Issa Lanre Onilu applauded the efforts of Zubair for his tremendous success in uplifting the economy of Igbaja.
According to him, “Zubair is worthy of emulation and proves to be a leader by example.
Speaking about the 2023 presidential election, Mr Onilu said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the quality and capacity and he has demonstrated it in Lagos and every state is yarning to be like Lagos.
“If Tinubu was able to do it in Lagos, both in physical development and human capacity development, he has grown many people from the current vice-president to Fashola and others.
He said the country need Asiwaju more than how Asiwaju needed Nigeria.
Mr Onilu said Governor AbdulRazaq has done well in all aspects as expected by Kwarans, the expectation is high but no one has been able to beat his record in terms of good governance.
He, however, urges people to support Bola Ahmed for the 2023 presidential election and also to vote for the Kwara state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his second term.
Kwara State chairman of the National Union of Road Transport (NURTW) Represented by Alhaji Ahmed Babatunde, said Zubair has touched the lives of kwarans through community intervention.
He said most of the beneficiaries are also members of NURTW, he urge the people of Kwara-south to support Mr. Zubair and vote for AbdlRazaq for a second term.
