Kidnappers Kill 22-Year-Old Driver As Police Rescue Four Abducted Victims In Ekiti

Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State- A 22-year-old man was killed by gunmen who abducted four others along the Isan-Iludun Ekiti road in the Ilejemeje Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

It was gathered that victims were travelling on Sunday, September 22, when the attackers struck, leading to the shooting of Idowu, who served as the driver for the Ekiti State Commissioner for Local Government.

The spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the details of the incident on Thursday.

He noted that the police successfully rescued the four kidnapped individuals, who were found alive and unharmed.

Meanwhile, during the State Assembly plenary, Hon. Princess Iyabo Fakunle-Okieimen, the lawmaker representing the Ilejemeje Constituency, drew the House’s attention to the unfortunate development.
