Kidnappers Abduct Businessman, Assistant In Jebba

Ilorin, Kwara State- Suspected gunmen believed to be kidnappers have abducted a local businessman, Sikiru Bosere, and his assistant in Jebba, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.

It was gathered that the gunmen launched their attack in the early hours of Monday, September 25, 2023, invading the residence of Sikiru Bosere in the Labour Camp area of Jebba.

Mr Bosere, who is known for his involvement in the charcoal business, was forcibly taken by the assailants, who also abducted his assistant, Mr Philemon.

Fortunately, Mr. Philemon was later released by the kidnappers. He is currently receiving medical treatment in a private hospital located in Jebba.

Meanwhile the residents and community leaders are calling for swift action to ensure the safe return of Sikiru Bosere and to bring those responsible for this crime to justice.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident, said efforts are ongoing to rescue the businessman.
“A case of kidnapping was received early this morning, one victim already rescued while efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victim and possibly arrest the kidnappers,” he added.
