Kano Police Arrest ‘Big Star,’ Most Wanted Notorious Thug, For Brutal Assault

The Kano State Police Command has arrested the most notorious thug, Sadiq Ahmad, widely known as Dandaba, after he inflicted life-threatening injuries on his most recent victim.

In a statement released on Friday, September 1, 2023, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyaw, said that the suspect, identified as Sadiq Ahmad, employed scissors as a weapon during his attack on Abdulrahman Isah, a resident of Dorayi Karama Quarters.

“As the Kano State Police Command is escalating the hunt for those on the wanted list of unwilling notorious thugs that are hesitant to repentance among them one Sadiq Ahmad, ‘m’, popularly known as “Big Star”, 33 years old, of Dorayi Karama Quarters Kano, infamously known behind wanted terrorizing people within Kano Metropolis has finally fell into the police dragnet. He was trailed and arrested after he used scissors, attacked and inflicted life-threatening injuries to one Abdulrahman Isah, ‘m’, 50 years old of the same address,” the statement read.

“The victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where he was treated and discharged, and the violent suspect is currently in custody of the State been Criminal Investigation Department of the Command (CID) where a discreet investigation is ongoing

“On preliminary investigation so far revealed that the suspect confessed to the violent atrocities he has committed. Furthermore, he raised claim that he was under the influence of drugs while he engaged in all those crimes,”

“I used to be induced with intoxicants and drugs such as Indian Hemp, Diazepam, Exol and Syrup and not in my state of mind”, said the suspect.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect(s) will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police uses this medium to call on the members of the public with useful information that will lead to the arrest of more suspects especially Abba Burakita of Dorayi Karama Quarters Kano and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu Quarter Kano, to cooperate with the Police and volunteer such information.

The Commissioner of Police still reiterated that the five hundred thousand naira (N500,000:00) cash bounty he placed on each of their heads still stands.
