Jigawa APC Senatorial Candidate Dies
He was being treated for a lung infection but died on Saturday in a Chinese hospital.
Tijjani Ibrahim, the All Progressive Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Jigawa South West District, is dead.
It was gathered that the late Ibrahim was admitted to an Abuja hospital from where he was flown to China for further treatment when his condition deteriorated.
According to a source he was being treated for a lung infection but died on Saturday in a Chinese hospital.
A condolence message issued by Habibu Nuhu Kila, Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations to Governor Muhammadu Badaru, on Sunday, confirmed the death of the APC Jigawa Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 general elections.
According to the statement, the governor said the death of Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa is a great loss not only to his family but to the Muslim Ummah.
‘’He described late Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa as a loyal and dependable politician who contributed immensely to the political development of the country,’’ the statement said.
‘’Governor Badaru pray to Almighty Allah to grant him an eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.’’
