Gunmen Abduct RCCG Pastor’s Wife In Kwara Community
The pastor initially heard gunshots, only to later discover that his wife had been kidnapped.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly kidnapped the wife of a Senior Pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Elerinjare town, Ifelodun Local Government area of Kwara State.
Mrs. Bola Ajiboye, identified as the wife of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye, was abducted on the night of Thursday, August 17, 2023.
It was gathered that her adopted daughter, who was present during the attack, managed to escape unharmed.
The kidnappers reportedly carried out the abduction around 9 pm, amidst the sound of gunshots in the community.
Afrika Eyes learnt that the pastor initially heard gunshots, only to later discover that his wife had been kidnapped.
Sources within the community told journalists in Ilorin on Friday that the adopted daughter miraculously escaped during the attack, amidst sporadic gunshots.
A source from the community added that the state police command has been alerted, and community members are tirelessly collaborating to secure the safe release of the senior pastor’s wife.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, stated on Friday that they have not received any information regarding the incident.
