Group Threatens To Recall Kaduna Senator Over Developmental Issues

Against this background, we are giving him 14 days to give an account of his stewardship and failure to do so, we would mobilise members of his Constituency to recall him

Kaduna State– The Kaduna Peace and Tranquility Forum (KPTF) has issued a warning to Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, who represents the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, and threatened to mobilize efforts to recall him from office.

The group accuses Usman of failing to address key developmental issues affecting the region and not adequately representing the interests of his constituents.

The group noted that while there were concerns about insecurity in the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, the senator had reportedly not addressed these issues during his tenure in the 10th Senate.

They voiced concerns that the lawmaker had not addressed the issues affecting the people or secured federal projects for the state for an extended period.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the group, Alhaji Inuwa Bala Giwa, they expressed that “as a pressure group, we find this situation completely unacceptable and are therefore determined to confront him and demand an explanation.”

The group expressed disappointment that, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, he has reportedly not constructed any schools.

The group stated that the Senator was expected to be busy working on bills that could help move Kaduna forward which was why he was elected.

“Against this background, we are giving him 14 days to give an account of his stewardship and failure to do so, we would mobilise members of his Constituency to recall him,” the group stated.
