Former President of Benue Customary Court Murdered
Her lifeless body was discovered in her house but the corpse was not looking too okay again.
The retired President of the Benue State Customary Court of Appeal, Margaret Igbeta, has allegedly murdered in her own home, at Wantor Kwange Street within the bustling Makurdi metropolis.
It was gathered that the decomposing body of the retired judge was discovered at her private residence.
A police source revealed that the condition of her remains suggested that she likely met her demise several days before her body was found on Thursday, August 24.
Afrika Eyes gathered that the police were notified about the incident by the deceased’s young son, which they promptly arrived at the scene and took swift action to ensure the evacuation of the lifeless body of the jurist.
According to the police source: “Yes, Justice Igbeta has been murdered. Yesterday, Thursday, August 24, 2023, her lifeless body was discovered in her house but the corpse was not looking too okay again.
“What that meant was that it couldn’t have happened that yesterday, Thursday, maybe a day or so before it was discovered and reported to the police.”
He, however, assured that the police have commenced an investigation into the case with the intention of revealing the police were already investigating the matter to unravel the masterminds of the murder.
