FCT Police Rescue 14 Kidnapped Victims 

The police operatives neutralized one of the kidnappers as the rest scampered to a nearby forest

Abuja, NigeriaThe Men of the FCT Police Command attached to the Anti-Nova-Kidnapping Unit, in collaboration with the Rubochi Division Police Headquarters, rescued 14 kidnapped victims on Wednesday.

In a statement released by the spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the combined team, acting on credible intelligence stormed a Kidnapper’s den located at Ukya village via Nasarawa state bordering FCT and on sighting the police operatives, the hoodlums opened fire on the police operatives which resulted in gun duel.

According to her, the police operatives neutralized one of the kidnappers as the rest scampered to a nearby forest with various degrees of bullet wounds.

She said that the hostages who were rescued unhurt have since been reunited with their loved ones.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Haruna G. Garba, has  reiterate his commitment to rid FCT of Criminality in all its manifestations and maintenance of peace for all and sundry.
