Eid-ul-Fitr: Sarkin Gobir Urges Unity, Generosity, National Progress

Ilorin, Kwara State– The Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Wazirin Kasar Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims in Kwara State and across the world as they celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message, the revered traditional ruler expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the strength, patience, and devotion to observe Ramadan with sincerity.
He described Eid-ul-Fitr as a moment of thanksgiving, renewal of faith, and unity, urging believers to uphold the values of love and compassion beyond the holy month.
“As we rejoice in this sacred celebration, let us reflect on the virtues of peace, kindness, and generosity that Ramadan instills in us. Let us extend hands of friendship to one another and remain steadfast in our devotion to Allah,” he stated.
The Madawaki of Ilorin Emirate further emphasized the importance of Zakat-ul-Fitr, encouraging Muslims to give generously to the less privileged so that everyone can partake in the blessings of Eid.

Alhaji Gobir extended warm Eid greetings to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, praying for his continued good health and long reign.
Furthermore, he prayed for peace, stability, and divine guidance for Nigeria, urging leaders to govern with fairness and citizens to embrace harmony and mutual respect.
However, he wished all Muslims a joyful and blessed Eid-ul-Fitr, calling for a responsible and meaningful celebration filled with gratitude and devotion to Allah.
