EFCC Intercepts 20 Suspects With Millions, POS, Allegedly Meant For Vote Buying In Kwara

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has seized millions and Point of Sales (POS) from some suspects to be meant for vote buying in Kwara State.

EFCC’s Acting zonal commander Micheal Nzekwe, on Saturday, said operatives from the Kwara Zonal Command of the commission took the suspects involved in vote buying from different locations in the state.

While parading the suspects the state zonal command said the suspects are directly involved in vote buying.

“Our mandate as EFCC is to ensure that money influence in politics is totally cut out and eradicated.

Mr Nzekwe said that 20 suspects were apprehended in different locations in the state.

He added that the command got credible intelligence and acted on it.

He, however, said that an investigation is still going on.
