 Dino Wins Kogi PDP Governorship Ticket

Dino polled 313 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jabiru Usman

Dino Melaye, a former Kogi West Senator, has emerged candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming 11 November Governorship election in Kogi State.

In a Congress held at Kefas Multipurpose Hall, Lokoja, on Sunday, 16 April, Dino polled 313 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jabiru Usman who polled 127 votes.

The chairman of the PDP primary Election Committee, Ahmed Makarfi announced the results on Sunday at end of the indirect primary.

A former Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi scored 77 votes and the PDP governorship candidate in 2019, Musa Wada had a total of 56 votes.
