Court Grant House Leader Ado Doguwa Bail Over Alleged Murder

Doguwa was first arraigned on March 1 before a magistrate’s court in Kano for culpable homicide

The majority leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Doguwa, who is facing murder charges, has been granted bail by a federal high court in Kano.

Justice Yunusa Mohammed, who was once queried by the NJC for corruption, granted the bail to the lawmaker on Monday.

Recalled that Doguwa was first arraigned on March 1 before a magistrate’s court in Kano for culpable homicide, conspiracy, mischief, unlawful possession of firearms and inciting disturbance.

Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, representing  Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State have been arrested by the Nigerian police for his alleged role in the killing of several persons and burning of the secretariat of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) during the just concluded poll.
