Coming Generations Will Have No Choice But Pay The Current Deb- Obasanjo

The burden of this financial predicament would inevitably fall on the shoulders of future generations.

Abeokuta, Ogun State- Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed deep concern over Nigeria’s escalating debt crisis, attributing it to mismanagement by previous administrations.

The ex-president warned that the burden of this financial predicament would inevitably fall on the shoulders of future generations.

In a statement released by his Media Aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, it was mentioned that the elder statesman expressed his thoughts during an interaction with the 2023 awardees of the Future Africa Leaders Foundation, an initiative led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

According to him, with the level of mismanagement of the previous debts written off for the country, it would be almost impossible for any administration to get a similar gesture in the continent.
