Buhari Ahmed Selected For Africa Foundation For Media Professionals Fellowship

He got a grant for a story in 2022 from Tiger Eye Foundation

Afrika Eyes Managing Editor, Buhari Olanrewaju Ahmed has been selected by the Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) for its 2023 edition of Media Entrepreneurship Fellowship.

The six-month fellowship is scheduled to take place in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, and Port Harcourt under different themes.

This is contained in a letter signed by the AFYMP Program Officer, Oladunjoye Busola on Friday, June 9, 2023, which said the media training will be conducted in batches and segments.

In addition, the fellowships which include in-person two days’ of intensive workshops, and about 6 mentorship sessions will run across geo-political zones in Nigeria.

Mr Ahmed cut his reportorial teeth as a columnist and freelance at Sahara Reporters and now serves as a content manager at Diaspora Radio International, and a freelance investigative journalist at Diamond FM.

He got a grant for a story in 2022 from Tiger Eye Foundation.
