BREAKING: INEC Declares APC’s Dapo Abiodun Winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the winner of Saturday’s governorship for second term re-election in the state.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof Kayode Adebowale, who announced the final result at the INEC office, in Abeokuta on Sunday, said Abiodun polled 276,298 votes to defeat his arch-rival and candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ladi Adebutu,  who had 262,383 votes.

Results emerge:

Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu: 262,383

Dapo Abiodun: 276, 298 votes

Olubiyi Otegbeye: 94, 754

Rejected votes; 188, 35.

Total votes count: 663,968
