BREAKING: INEC Declares APC’s Bago Winner Of Niger Gov’ship Poll

Bago won in 20 of the 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Mohammed Bago, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Niger State.

The INEC’s Returning Officer in the State,  Prof. Clement Allawa, who declared winner as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election.

Bago won in 20 of the 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State, polling 469,896 votes to defeat Isah Liman Kantigi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who got 387, 476 votes.

“I declare that Umar Mohammed Bago of the APC having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Niger State.”

The total number of accredited voters at the election was 899, 488 while the number of votes cast stands at 889, 956.
