BREAKING: Bandits Attack Zamfara Mosque, Abduct Scores Of Worshippers

Gusau, Zamfara StateGunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday night attacked a mosque in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, abducting numerous worshippers during the Tahajjud congregational prayer.

Tahajjud prayer is a vigil normally held in the last 10 days of Ramadan preceeding Eid-el-Ftr.

Zamfara has faced relentless assaults ever since bandits initiated their violent campaign in the North West State.

According to a source, the assailants raided the mosque during the evening prayers and abducted the worshippers.

“Though the exact count of abducted individuals is uncertain, authorities are actively pursuing the perpetrators.”

However, He was unsure about the precise number of people abducted.

Meanwhile, no ransom demand has been made, and no group has claimed responsibility for the audacious attack, adding to the prevailing sense of insecurity in the Northwest.
