BREAKING: Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack, 5 Abducted Passengers Regain Freedom

Five of the remaining abducted passengers of the Abuja- Kaduna train attacked on March 28 have been freed after 127 days in captivity.

According to reports by the Kaduna-based Desert Herald newspaper, the Five victims were released on Tuesday following negotiations by Tukur Mamu, a media consultant to an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.

The names of the five victims who were released on Tuesday are Prof. Dr. Mustapha Umar Imam, Akibu Lawal, Abubakar Ahmed Rufai, Mukthar Shu’aibu and Sidi Aminu Sharif.

However, one of the abductee was shot in the kidnappers’ den during an exchange of gunshots, identified as Muktar Shu’aibu.
