Billionaire Philanthropist Aminu Dantata Dies At 93

Kano State — Nigeria has lost one of its most influential business icons and philanthropists, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 93.

Born on May 19, 1931, Dantata was a towering figure in Nigeria’s private sector, with significant investments in finance, real estate, and the petroleum industry.

He was also a prominent member of the Dantata family, widely regarded as one of the wealthiest and most philanthropic families in Northern Nigeria.

Dantata’s death was announced by his personal principal secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid.

Beyond his business acumen, Dantata was celebrated for his extraordinary commitment to philanthropy.
