Bandits Storm Kaduna Community, Abduct Woman, Kids, Others

Nine of the victims managed to escape from their captors.

Bandits have again abducted a woman, two of her children and nine other residents of Janjala community in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

City & Crime reports that Janjala had for the past few months suffered several attacks by bandits who abducted residents at gunpoint.

Daily Trust reports that the latest abductions were confirmed by a resident, Dauda Bala. He identified the woman and her children as Mrs. Hauwa Ummi Abubakar and Sadiya and Idris, respectively.

Samaila Babangida, the Madaki of Janjala, who also confirmed the most recent kidnappings, claimed that nine of the victims managed to escape from their captors.

Also, DSP Usman Abdullahi, the state’s police spokesman, confirmed the occurrence and said certain individuals had been detained in relation to the kidnapping.

Abdullahi added that efforts were still being made to find the monarch’s kidnapped family members and that the suspects who had been detained had given the police important information that might have helped find the kidnapped people.
