Bandits Invade Mosque In Zamfara Community, kill 15 Worshippers

Suspected gunmen known as bandits on Friday killed 15 worshippers in Juma’at mosque in Ruwan Jema community of Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara state.

It was learnt that the gunmen arrived at the village on motorbikes and opened fire on the congregants, while a yet-to-be-confirmed number of worshippers sustain a degree of injuries.

A source said “The terrorists, who rode on motorcycles invaded the mosque and opened fire on worshippers, leading to the death of 15 persons on the spot, while many other victims sustained various degrees of injuries,” he said.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian military launches a massive bombardment of identified hideouts of the terrorists in Zamfara State.
