Again, Kwara Students Pass Vote Of No Confidence On Gov. AbdulRazaq

NAKSS remain one united body against the wish of some retrogressive element in government

The leadership of the National Association of Kwara State Students NAKSS NHQ on Monday, 16 January reiterate its earlier position and passed a vote of no confidence on the leadership of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Comrade Abdullahi Abdulqodir Wokili, the National President of NAKSS made this known to the newsmen in Ilorin during a press conference.

According to him, “The Constitution of our great association, The Congress of NAKSS NHQ is one the greatest Organ of the organization which supersede the constitution and the highest decision making.

“We noticed that Kwara State Government through some retrogressive aids are intimidating some of our members as a result of our stand that Kwara must be great, and has compelled and sponsored a press conference as addressed by the vice president of NAKSS under duress aimed at dividing our one united organization.

He said all they demanded from Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is transparency, accountability and good governance.

The statement read; “Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should tell Kwarans how much he has borrowed! What has he done with the funds borrowed and how does he intends to repay those loans

“We demand enough subvention to our tertiary institutions and a conducive academic environment for all students.

“We demand that Gov. AA should tell us how much was approved for our bursary and how many students benefited,” he said.

Mr Wokili said the Congress has confirmed a Vote of No confidence on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and urged him to desist from dividing the association.

“The Congress declared Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq unfit and not qualified to be reelected into the office for a second term.

He further explained that the Congress has constituted a 3 man committee headed by Comr. Always Musbau to critically observe and recommend a competent gubernatorial candidate for NAKSS to support.

Also, Congress has constituted two different committees on Students Safety and Enlightenment against Electoral Violence to be headed by Comr. Aminu Wahab and the committee on the Probe of 2022 Bursary Disbursement is to be headed by Comrade Danladi Mohammed.

Meanwhile, he said NAKSS remain one united body against the wish of some retrogressive element in government who has been attempting to divide our noble organization.

Mr Wokili however, advises Governor Abdulrazaq to call his aid in order as NAKSS may no longer condone any act of intruding in our organization anymore.

The President implore all the students in the state to be of good conduct and desist from being employed by politicians to perpetrate violence during elections.
