Adamawa Police Arrest Five Hunters For Torturing 14-Year-Old Boy To Death Over Alleged N20,000 Theft
The suspects are currently under investigation and would be charged to court
Yola, Adamawa State– Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command has arrested five hunters for torturing a 14-year-old boy to death over the alleged theft of N20,000 in the Maiha Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement released on Thursday, June 6, 2024, by the sspokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who disclosed that the suspects were arrested for “extra-judicial killing of a teenager”.
“The Adamawa State Police Command has on 5/6/2024 arrested five Hunters for the unlawful arrest and torture of a 14 years old teenager, whom they alleged to have stolen 20,000 in Maiha Local government area,” the statement read.
“The Commissioner of Police, while condemning the actions of the hunters, warned members of the public against taking the law into their own hands.
“The suspects are currently under investigation and would be charged to court for the law to take its course.”
