AbdulRazaq Excited As Prof Alaro Bags ‘Intellectual Impact’ Award In University Of Madina

Prof. Alaro, who teaches at the University of Ilorin, is a recipient of the Kwara State Lifetime Achievement Award

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated Prof. Abdurrazaq Abdulmajeed Alaro (mni) on his winning the ‘most intellectual impact’ award of the International Islamic University of Madina, Saudi Arabia.

This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Thursday, May 25, the Governor said the award reasserts the place of Prof. Alaro, a Kwaran, as a global leader in Islamic law and a public intellectual who continues to impact his community with his contributions to knowledge.

“The Government and people of Kwara State are proud to identify with the sterling achievements of Professor Alaro. We share in the joy and honour that this recognition brings to him and his family, especially because of the inspiration such a feat gives to younger generations,” the Governor said in a statement.

“We pray Allah to grant him more successes in the coming years and the good health to live his dreams to the fullest.”

“The University of Madina on Wednesday night awarded him the best alumnus of all time with the most intellectual impact. Alaro was honoured alongside other outstanding alumni of the school who have made huge contributions to knowledge, such as Dr. Hamid Choi Yong Kil, the first Korean Muslim to translate the Qur’an and Sahih Al-Bukhari into the Korean language; Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid, former Speaker of Indonesia People’s Consultative Assembly; and Prof. Massire Doukoure who specializes in computational linguistics at Yobe State University,” he added.

Prof. Alaro, who teaches at the University of Ilorin, is a recipient of the Kwara State Lifetime Achievement Award that was held in December 2022.
