The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has joined thousands of well-wishers across the country to celebrate with the All Progressives Congress candidate in the 2023 Kwara Central Senatorial race, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, on his 50th birthday.
The Governor disclosed this in about birthday message to Mustapha, which was signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.
Mr AbdulRasaq said his emergence as the senatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kwara Central was deserving of his sacrifices, contributions and commitments to the growth of the party over the years.
“On behalf of the government, people of Kwara State and members of our great party, I join family and friends to celebrate my brother and Turaki of Ilorin on his 50th birthday anniversary,” the Governor said.
“I beseech Allah to grant Turaki and all the candidates of our party, APC, a resounding victory at the polls next year, and give him long life and good health in the service of humanity.”
Mallam Mustapha had on Saturday announced a low-key celebration to mark the auspicious occasion.
According to a statement issued by his media office, the APC candidate indicated his desire to celebrate the occasion with no fanfare.
“This is also in tandem with his long-standing tradition to seize the occasion of his birthdays as a time to reflect on God’s enduring grace and mercy in his life and that of his family in the last five decades,” the office noted.
