Abducted PDP Lagos Chairman Regains Freedom

The politician, along with several other party leaders, was kidnapped in the Ogere area

Abeokuta, Ogun State– The Lagos State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Philip Aivoji, who was abducted by unknown gunmen along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last week, has regain his freedom.

Aivoji was set free four days following his abduction on Thursday.

Recalled that the politician, along with several other party leaders, was kidnapped in the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday, January 25.

The incident occurred as they were returning from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus meeting, which was organized by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and took place in Ibadan, the state capital.

His release was disclosed by the Ogun state police command.

In an official statement, the command announced that Aivoji was released during the early hours of January 29 today and has since been reunited with his family.
