Abba Kabir Swears In 17 Commissioners

Two of the commissioner-nominees are yet to be screened by the Assembly as they are  undergoing Hajj exercise

Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in 17 commissioners cleared by the House of Assembly.

The governor assigned all the new commissioners portfolios after the swearing in, saying that they should get ready for the task ahead.

Meanwhile, two of the commissioner-nominees are yet to be screened by the Assembly as they are  undergoing Hajj exercise.

The new commissioners with their portfolios are the deputy governor Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Local Government; Haruna Umar Doguwa, Education; Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda, Water Resources; Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, Health; Engr Marwan Ahmad, Works and Housing; Barr. Haruna Dederi Justice and Attorney-General; Dr. Yusuf Kofar Mata, Higher Education; Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo Environment and Engr Muhammad Diggol, Transportation.

Others are Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud, Agriculture, Musa Sulaiman Shanono, Budget and Planning; Abbas Sani Abbas. Commerce; Aisha Lawan Saji, Women, Children and Disabled (to be sworn when she returns from Hajj), Ladidi Ibrahim Abba, Tourism and Culture.

While Sheikh Tijjani Auwal, Religious Affairs (to be sworn after he return from Hajj),  Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information , Tajo Usman Ungogo, Science and Technology; Hamza Safiyanu, Rural and Community Development and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Land and Physical Planning.
