Sokoto Men Mock U.S. After Playing With Bomb Fragments From Christmas-Day Airstrike
The video shows the men casually handling the metallic fragments, laughing and making defiant statements as they played with the remnants believed to be from the airstrike.
Sokoto State– Some men suspected to be herdsmen have been seen sitting, rolling, and playing with what appeared to be fragments of a bomb reportedly dropped by the United States military on Christmas Day during an operation targeting terrorists in Sokoto State.
The incident reportedly occurred in Jabo community, Sokoto State.
In a video obtained by Afrika Eyes, the men were speaking in Hausa while openly mocking the American government and its military, boasting that no U.S. rocket or bomb could ever successfully strike Nigerian soil.
The video shows the men casually handling the metallic fragments, laughing and making defiant statements as they played with the remnants believed to be from the airstrike.
At one point, one of the men said: “Show your strength, my people. I am praying for you that this fragment will not explode, by God’s grace.”
They continued with taunts directed at both the Nigerian Army and the United States, declaring:
“Army, you are a disgrace. We Nigerians are greater than you. Nothing can defeat us except God’s will. You are a disgrace. Nuclear weapons will never work in Nigeria.”
The speaker further warned the United States to stay away from Nigeria, saying:
“American government should stay clear out of our domain. We are stronger than you.”
The men concluded by claiming that any harm intended for them would be reversed, adding:
“All your bad wishes return back to you. America, you have been disgraced.”
