Joint Security Forces Arrest Four Suspects Linked To Benue Bank Robbery
The operation took place on Saturday, October 21, along the Otukpo-Taraku road in Benue State
Makurdi, Benue State – A joint operation of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Armed Forces, among others have arrested four suspects connected to the recent Benue bank robbery that claimed the lives of several police officers.
It would be recalled that the operation took place on Saturday, October 21, along the Otukpo-Taraku road in Benue State, where the robbery had occurred.
According to a statement from a police official, “Four suspects involved in armed robbery have been apprehended by the Joint Security Forces on the Otukpo-Taraku road in Benue State on Saturday. The robbers were part of the group that carried out armed robberies at banks and a police station in Otukpo, Benue State yesterday.”
When reached for comment, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, advised the newsmen to await the findings of the investigation team.
