Troops Kill 3 Bandits, Repels Attack On Plateau Community
Troops are currently on the trail of bandits who escaped with gunshot wounds
Troops of 3 Divisions of the Nigerian Army have ambushed and killed three bandits that attacked Sabon Layi village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Director of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
The troops obliterated the criminals when they gallantly fought through an ambush staged by the bandits while responding to a distress call in Mangu general area.
He said, “After successfully clearing the ambush, the troops recovered 3 x AK 47 Rifles,14 rounds of 7.62 mm Special rounds, 1 x Motorcycle and a Constabulary Police Identity card.
“The bandits were said to be attacking Sabon Layi village in Mangu LGA on Wednesday when they were engaged and neutralized by the troops who rushed to the area following a distress call.
He, however, said troops are currently on the trail of bandits who escaped with gunshot wounds during the firefight.
