53-Year-Old Ex-Convict Rearrested For Car Theft In Ogun

Two fabricated iron master key was found in his possession and obviously, it is part of the instrument used to unlock unsuspecting car owners’ vehicles

The Ogun State Police Command’s officers have re-arrested Sunday Dosunmu, an unrepentant car snatcher after he was found involved in the same criminal activity that took him to prison.

In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, said that the suspect had been previously arrested by Divisional Police Officer Kemta CSP Adeniyi Adekunle on September 17, 2022, in Olorunsogo, Ogun State while trying to steal a parked car.

Odutola further stated that on August 12, around 7:30 PM along Eleme, Ogun State, Sunday was once again apprehended by local youths in the area. He was caught engaging in his familiar pattern, attempting to unlock several cars using fabricated master keys within the area.

“A plea of double jeopardy will not suffice if there was no acquittal on a thorough investigation, he may have been released on want of evidence.

The police spokesperson revealed that the Commissioner of Police for the state has been informed and instructed to gather substantial evidence to present before the court, ensuring that Sunday Dosunmu comprehensively learns his lesson.
