3MTT: Kwara Govt Unveils Innovative Digital Platform To Boost Economic Growth

The Kwara Economy Digital platform aims to promote knowledge sharing and skill development within the local tech ecosystem

Ilorin, Kwara State– The Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Digital and Innovation, launched the ‘Kwara Economy Digital platform‘, which aims to connect technical talent with business owners to solve problems collectively.

Over 150 participants graduated at the Cohort 1 graduation of the 3 Million Technical Talents program, which took place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Kwara State Library in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Kwara Economy Digital platform is designed to bridge the gap between technical talent and business owners, creating a conducive environment for collaboration and problem-solving, by leveraging digital solutions, the platform aims to facilitate partnerships that drive innovation and address pressing challenges faced by businesses in the state.

Mr Kayode, in his opening remarks at the Cohort 1 graduation of the 3 Million Technical Talents, emphasized the rapid technological advancement and stressed that people must harness the power of innovation to drive progress, create opportunities, and address the challenges facing society.

He said Kwara is one of the few states across the federation that has chosen to harness the potential of the 3 Million talents program.

According to him, the Kwara Economy Digital platform aims to promote knowledge sharing and skill development within the local tech ecosystem and also provide a centralized hub for networking and collaboration around the world.

The Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor extends gratitude to AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who graciously approved the necessary materials for the improvement of trainees.

Addressing the esteemed graduates, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor, congratulates them and urges the graduates to leverage their acquired skills to effect meaningful change within society, stressing the importance of their contribution to the state’s development trajectory.

He emphasized the government’s proactive stance in integrating technological advancements into policy implementation, paving the way for sustainable growth and development.

In a significant address marking the culmination of the inaugural cohort of the 3 Million Technical Talents (3MTT) program, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, lauded the graduating class for their dedication and successful completion of the rigorous training regimen.

Dr. Tijani emphasized the challenges and triumphs of their journey, highlighting the importance of community-building amidst the technical skills they have acquired.

He stressed that while the path may have been stressful, their ability to forge connections and collaborate would be crucial in leveraging their expertise for broader societal benefit.

Furthermore, the Minister told the graduands to utilize their technical prowess as a force for positive change, particularly emphasizing its potential impact on the nation’s economy.

He, however, urged them to seek out opportunities where they could apply their skills innovatively, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the country.
