Police Arrest Uyo-Based Lawyer For Domestic Abuse Captured In Viral Video
The lawyer was arrested by the Akwa Ibom Police Command and that he would be charged shortly.
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State– The Nigeria Police Force has arrested one Barrister Ekere Ebong, a Uyo-based lawyer seen in a viral video subjecting his wife to physical and verbal abuse.
In the footage, Barrister Ekere Ebong was seen physically assaulting and verbally abusing his wife in their residence.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Akorede Habeeb Lawal, said a thorough investigation into a distressing incident captured in a viral video has been taken.
According to SaharaReporters, on Monday the lawyer was arrested by the Akwa Ibom Police Command and that he would be charged shortly.
