Amotekun Arrest 3 Ritualists In Osun

They were into the business of exhuming corpses from graves; which they then sell to buyers

Osogbo, Osun State –The Osun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, has arrested three notorious gangs specializing in exhuming corpses and extracting body parts for ritual purposes.

This is contained in a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 12, the Osun State Amotekun spokesperson, Adeniyi Adeshola Brown, said the three suspects were; Kamilu Kehinde, a 43-year-old mechanic, Akeem Hamzat, 56-year-old driver and Wakeel Baka, a herbalist.

He said that they were all arrested following intelligence received by the operatives of Iwo Command.

“On interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements that they were into the business of exhuming corpses from graves; which they then sell to buyers who need them for money-making rituals; and also that.

“Akeem Hamzat was not one of them, but rather one Ogun, who is now at large with an exhumed body part.”

Mr Brown, however, disclosed that the Corps Commander, Osun State Security Network Agency, Bashir Abiodun Adewinmbi, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the Nigeria Police for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
